How adoption actually works here
The exact checks depend on the rescue’s current policy and the animal. Here is the general sequence from application to placement.

Fill out the application for the animal you are interested in — or leave it open and let us suggest matches.

References
The team reviews your information and completes any veterinary, landlord, or personal-reference checks its policy requires.
- 03
Meet and greet
Once the application clears, you meet the animal — with your own dog too, if that matters for the match.
- 04
Home visit
The team completes any final checks, paperwork, and payment steps before confirming the placement.
