Legal
Privacy policy
This describes what New Hope Animal Rescue NFP does with information you give us through this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form. Adoption, foster, and volunteer applications ask for your name, contact details, address, household information, information about animals you already have, your veterinarian, and your references. The contact form asks for your name, email, and message.
We do not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or social pixels on this site.
Why we collect it
To evaluate your application and to contact you about it. Application information is used to match animals to homes and to make placement decisions. That is the whole purpose.
Who sees it
Volunteers involved in your application, and nobody else. Application details are restricted within our system by role: a volunteer writing pet profiles cannot see applicant information, and sensitive fields such as your address and identification are limited to the coordinators who need them.
We will never sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it outside the rescue only where the law requires it, or where you have asked us to — a veterinary reference call, for instance, is us contacting the clinic you named and authorized.
Donations
Donations are processed by Givebutter on their own systems. This website never receives or stores your card details. Their privacy policy governs what happens on their checkout pages.
Animal listings
Public animal listings deliberately exclude private operational data. Foster addresses and phone numbers, staff behavior notes, full veterinary records, application notes, and donor information are never published on this site or syndicated to Petfinder or any other listing service.
How long we keep it
Applications are retained as part of our adoption records, which we keep so we can honor our lifetime commitment to take an animal back and so we can follow up on placements. If you want your information removed, email us and we will do it unless we are required to keep it.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking cookies. Long application forms save your progress in your own browser’s local storage so you can finish later — that stays on your device, is never sent to us until you press submit, and is cleared when the application goes through.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Adoption applicants must be 21 or older; volunteers must be 18 or older.
